Biografia
Holds a degree in Chemistry from the State University of Ponta Grossa - PR (2000). Earned a Master's degree in Sciences (Physical Chemistry) from the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos at the University of São Paulo (2002) and a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Physical Chemistry) from the Institute of Chemistry at the University of São Paulo (2007). The doctoral studies included a sandwich program at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany (2005-2006), and at the National University of La Plata, Argentina (2004). A postdoctoral fellowship was completed at the Institute of Chemistry, University of São Paulo (2008). The academic career began in 2008, and during the 2013-2015 biennium, the role of Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Chemistry (Master's/Doctorate) at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS) was held. From May 2015 to January 2017, the position of Head of the Graduate Studies Coordination Office at the Office of the Dean of Research and Graduate Studies at UFMS was occupied. Served as Senior Visiting Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Victoria, Canada, from August 2019 to July 2020 (CAPES/PRINT). Currently serves as a Full Professor at the Institute of Chemistry at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (IQ/UFRN). Possesses extensive experience in the field of Chemistry, with a focus on spectroscopy (UV/VIS and Fluorescence) and chromatographic analyses (GCMS/HPLC) in environmental samples. The primary research areas include photo-Fenton and photoelectro-Fenton processes, industrial effluent treatment, fluorescence, and the synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles (metallic and semiconductor oxides).
