She is graduated in Chemistry (2009), master (2011) and PhD in chemical (2015) at Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. During PhD, she worked as visiting scientist in the group of Prof. Manuel Andrés Rodrigo at the UCLM, Spain. In 2016, she currently is an Associate Professor in the ECT School of Science and Technology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. She was awarded with the L?OREAL-UNESCO ?For Women in Sciences? (Brazil) (2016) and the Prize on Environmental Electrochemistry by the International Society of Electrochemistry (2020). She is author and co-author of more than 90 scientific publications, including 02 conference books, 06 book chapters, 01 book, 59 papers in peer-reviewed international scientific journals (h index-Scopus: 19 and more than 1000 citations), 02 papers in national scientific journals, more than 70 contributions in conference proceedings and a inventor of 01 patent. She is co-editor of the book entitled Electrochemically Assisted Remediation of Contaminated Soils: Fundamentals, Technologies, Combined Processes and Pre-Pilot and Scale-Up Applications (Springer). She participates as Editor of Química Nova (SBQ), and she also participates in the editorial Boards of Guest Journal of The Electrochemical Society (IOPscience) and environmental science and pollution research (Springer). She participated as chair of organizing committee of the XXI Simpósio Brasileiro de Eletroquímica e Eletroanalítica on April, 2017 in Natal (Brazil) and she was also the chair of organizing committee of the 4° Iberoamerican Conference on Advanced Oxidation Technologies (III CIPOA) which was held in Natal on 2019. she is member of the Spanish Network of Excellence E3TECH, La Red Latinoamericana de Procesos Avanzados de Oxidación (Latin-AOPs) and Jury in Environmental Chemistry at the LatinXChem event (Royal Society of Chemistry), 2021. Currently, she is coordinator of the Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering (2019-2021/2021-2023). His research interests include (1) Development of electrochemical processes for a cleaner environment, (2) Removal of persistent pollutants from water and soil, (3) electrocatalysis and photoelectrocatalysis, (4) Coupling green energies to electrochemical remediation processes, (5) Electrosynthesis of oxidants, (6) Green Hydrogen as an energy vector for electrochemical processes, (7) electroanalysis as well as construction of electrochemical-sensors, (8) waste valorization, (9) scientific dissemination and actions for gender equality.
